The 6th Congressional race

The 6th Congressional race

Since I am nothing if not a salve to my readers, one of  ’em asked me to wade on the 6th Congressional battle between Republican Peter Roskam and Democrat Leslie Coolidge. Given the vast DuPage County GOP leanings this one will come as no surprise.
Using our well explained previous logic, here we go.  Of 63,154 early voters:
30% (16,939) have pulled a Democratic primary ballot for the last 10 years.
48% (27,383) have pulled a Republican primary ballot for the last 10 years.
22% (13,049) have only voted in the general election for the last 10 years.
This means, even though those 6th general election only voters will tend to be Democrats, it don’t look very good for Ms. Coolidge.
Let’s just say it would not be going out on a limb to say that Roskam wins this one!
