We’ve mostly covered it here, but since it is a column tradition, Sunday’s Beacon-News column outlined my thoughts on the recent election. Since the Beacon is an Aurora paper, it’s centered around the Aurora voter.
And while I’m thrilled that so many denizens of the City of Light managed to get out and vote (unlike last time), you’re still not voting for the right people. To that end, I’m encouraging Linda Chapa LaVia to dispense with Bill Foster and Ethan Hastert to put us out of our Hultgren misery.
“What! Ethan Hastert,” you say, “Didn’t you just rake his father over the coals right here on this blog?”
Yes I did! But when it comes to politics, the sins of the father should not necessarily be visited on the son. In fact, one might say Denny Hastert is the perfect example of how not to do it and since most children rebel against their parents…
In any event, enjoy the column!
