A huge thank you to Elgin Police Chief Jeff Swoboda, who had the cohones to come into the studio and sit with Larry and I for the full bleepin’ hour. Holy crap! I’m not sure I’d be willing do that.
We talked about community policing, we talked about what it takes to keep any community from sliding over that so delicate tipping point, and we talked about how the EPD takes steps to prevent their officers from suffering from policing fatigue. Being a police officer has to be one of the most Sisyphean tasks on this planet. Talk about sticking your finger in the dike!
What I can say without reservation is, this show will be a good listen, so until next week!
