Sadly, like the PDA, gratitude seems to be a thing of the past. It’s only when we bear witness to something like what’s befallen our east coast brethren that, maybe just for a second, we mentally mumble something about being thankful for what we we actually do have.
Watching NJ governor Chris Christie transcend base politics by being genuinely grateful for the President’s no-holds-barred assistance to his stricken state was a massive breath of fresh air. And the fact that he smacked down those Fox And Friends sycophants in the process was a bonus.
It’s in that regard that I want to thank all of you for not only reading my regular columns, but paying attention here too. Whether we agree or not, without you, there is no me! And I will neither forget nor will I ever take that fact for granted.
So as this blog inexorably moves towards 1,000 hits per day, I want to thank you, the reader, for providing me with an opportunity to have the most fun I’ve had with my clothes on.
