Brenda Schory’s article in today’s Chronicle is priceless. Stating, “I believe the result of the upcoming chairman’s race here in Kane County is a foregone conclusion,” St. Charles Mayor Don DeWitte invited municipal leaders to meet with GOP contender, Chris Lauzen.
Of course Klinkhamer responded that she considers herself a “legitimate opponent” which makes her about the only one.
At the last county board meeting, she was virtually nuzzling up to Ken Shepro in the gallery. Of course, Shepro is the mastermind behind almost all of Chairman Karen McConnaughay’s political moves. As I said in the Courier-News, Klinkhamer is such a Republican plant her county chair campaign logo should be a ficus tree.
Now, we all know there’s no lost love between the Mayor and Klinkhamer, but God Bless Don DeWitte for having a keen perception of the obvious and sharing it with the rest of us.

Keep tax rates in mind when purchasing stocks.
When you purchase a share and you keep it for more than a period of one year, you are going to be taxed at the rate of a
long term capital gain. However, if you sell the stock before the one
year is finished, you are going to be taxed at the normal tax rate.
