A big thanks to Kane County Clerk Jack Cunningham for calling in and offering his unique insights, including (but not limited to) the fact that losing an election doesn’t mean you can’t come back much stronger next time.
And speaking of coming back stronger, Elgin City Councilman elect Toby Shaw also called in to thank the voters for extending their support.
So if you ever do get the hankering to run, and I certainly hope you do, you really ought to study just how Toby Shaw overcame a serious defeat, came back to win, and expressed gratitude for his success. I look forward to Shaw’s long political legacy.
