DOA covers the Shadwick King murder retrial

For the uninitiated, a jury convicted Shadwick King of his wife Kathleen’s murder back in 2015. It was Geneva, Illinois’, first murder in some 48 years. But because the now retired Judge James “Hang ’em high” Hallock played second prosecutor, the Illinois Supreme Court overturned that conviction, sending it back for retrial. After a series of COVID delays, seven long years later the retrial is underway as we speak.

Here are my thoughts on heavyweight defense attorney Kathleen Zellner’s rather strange defense.

Due to some technical difficulties (on my part) this podcast is running a littler later than expected. But not to worry Dear Reader/Listener, though the proceedings restarted this week, the prosecution rested yesterday (June 23), so we have at least another week of the defense putting on their case.
