All good things… This morning at 9:45 a.m. U-46 Superintendent let district staff know that the Illinois State Board of Edcuation named him as the new State Superintendent of Education (See the email below). Aside from his poor COVID mitigation decisions, Tony has done a more than reasonable job in one of the most difficult school districts in the country.
And to prove his masochistic tendencies, now he’s moving into the even more difficult statewide arena. That said, I firmly believe he’ll do a good job and this journalist and friend wants to wish him the very best. Good luck, Tony. You’ll need it!
