While it may be true that Geneva Mayoral candidate Bob McQuillan and I have forged a tentative detente and I’m willing to advise ANY politician who comes to me, I was rather stunned to learn that DH reporter Susan Sarkauskas had the nerve to ask McQuillan if I was his campaign manager.
It just shows you how conspiracy theories will play even among supposed journalists. Considering Bob’s and my rather raucous and rancorous relationship, this one is so far beyond the pale that I don’t even know where to start.
But how about this!
When I asked three separate connected individuals whom they believed to be responsible for this tall tale, without hesitation, they replied Kevin Burns!
So should the mayor persist in these slimy endeavors, not only will I release the police reports I FOIAd regarding his messy divorce, but we’ll cover the road rage stories he tried to keep quiet by writing checks and so much more. In addition, I will personally manage Bob’s campaign and send Mr. Burns down to a defeat not unlike the one he experienced against Chris Lauzen.
If he doubts my capacity to pull it off, all he has to do is keep trying my patience. And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
It’s hard to fall off the bottom rung of a ladder, but you’ve managed to do it. As of this post you can never refer to yourself as a journalist again.
Mike,
I will admit, if anyone understands the bottom rung of a ladder – it’s you! Why is it folks like you and Kevin can’t bear the notion of someone fighting back?
And if you’re advising Kevin as well as you did during his county chair race, then I’m sure we can look forward to another 40 point defeat.
Jeff
Ouch…good one.
Thanks!
