Oh lord! You’d a thunk, after the whole buck fifty dead dad hanging in the garage thing, Kendall County Coroner Ken Toftoy would’ve figured out that he has no filter and talking to the press is a really bad idea. But no! Now Kenny seems to be angling for that Fox News analyst job.
When a Record newspaper reporter asked our esteemed coroner why the GOP fared so poorly in this election cycle, here’s what he had to say:
“The Democrats…they drive harder than the Republicans. They’re hard workers and they’re a lot meaner. I think the Democrats are mean campaigners and we need to get meaner than what we are; we’re too soft.”
“Too soft!” That’s not exactly the phrase I’d use to describe the GOP. 
So what can we glean from this expert political analysis? First, that all Republicans are generally shiftless and lazy which is something I’ve always suspected. And second, their major character flaw is being far too nice and and forgiving.
I’ve always said Ann Coulter is an old softie.
My only wish is that our intrepid Record reporter had asked Ken exactly what the Republican party needed to do to “get meaner.” My suggestion would be running over little old ladies. Don’t laugh! It’s better than Paul Ryan’s Medicare plan.
