A bomb drops in Aurora
With Ward & Jones heading to three days a week and my good friend Jeff Meyer requesting the return of Quick Hits, perhaps it’s time to start posting some local news teasers once again.
Through my frequent role as campaign manager, I’ve become a connoisseur of fine political mailers. You see, unlike great wines, reasonably good campaign messaging missives are much fewer and further between.
So when this Economic Freedom Alliance (Ron Gidwitz) piece hit Aurora consolidated election voters last week, I got downright giddy:
This is how it’s done folks! I fervently hope I never get on Mr. Gidwitz’ bad side.
While most candidates and PACs harbor a vast ego borne need to follow in Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s discursive footsteps, this is a clear case of someone finally understanding that a political picture is worth far more than a thousand words!
As I said on the Ward & Jones this morning, considering she has one of the worst campaign teams in local election history, Ms. Chapa LaVia won’t even make it out of the Feb. 28 mayoral primary. It will be Messrs. Irvin and Guzman facing off on April 4th.
Even if I didn’t have a dog in this fight, one has to admire this kind of rare campaign artistry.
