Mayor Dave Kaptain today on Left, Right and You!

It’s just six months into his second term, but a lot has happened in The City in the Suburbs. So we’ll be talking about:

  • The Gasthaus fades away
  • Tower Building lawsuits getting thrown out (again!)
  • The Tower Building redevelopment
  • The reinstatement of EPD officer Jason Lentz
  • Festival Park
  • Bridge Loans to social service agencies

and more! If you have a question for Mayor Kaptain the lovely Derek Cooley will be happy to take your call at 847-931-1410.

KaptainThat’s Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. Don’t miss it!

This is the October 15, 2015 edition of Left, Right and You!

And we certainly had a good time folks as the following audio will most certainly attest:

The theories the Smiling Conservative and I put forth were:

  • Perhaps one day, someone at the Kane County Clerk’s office will finally get something right. But I wouldn’t hold my breath! Suzanne Fahnestock and her Elections staff just love to get it wrong.
  • The late, great Batavian Joe Marconi is smiling from the Great Beyond at the prospect of the Batavia City Council finally doing the right thing and taking their electric rate problem on head on.
  • That the Elgin City Council is correct in considering offering bridge loans to local social service agencies.

Stuck

We also want to that LR&Y supersub and budding Cubs fan, Kurt Kozjarek, for calling in and debating theology with us. How can such a smart guy be wrong so often?

Monday! Elgin Mayor Dave Kaptain will spend the whole hour with me and we’ve certainly got a lot to talk about! Until then…

Bad election advice, an ironic Batavia twist, and a great Elgin idea today on Left, Right and You!

With the Smiling Conservative, once again, at my side, we’re gonna set the record straight on:

  • Why is getting good advice from the Kane County Elections staff a 50 – 50 proposition? And the irony is, the folks who got it wrong will be the ones throwing those candidates off the ballot.
  • Joe Marconi lives! Perhaps Batavians might see relief from their absurd electric rates after all!
  • Elgin proposes providing bridge loans to social service agencies so they can weather the State’s budgetary storm. We’ll explain why that’s such a good idea!
  • And, of course, your calls at 847-931-1410.

Jeff n Larry

For all that and much more, please tune into Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. Because we know you can handle the truth!

This is the October 12, 2015 edition of Left, Right and You!

Larry and I, once again, want to thank Kurt Kozjarek for his willingness to continue to assume the Left, Right and You hot seat.

And we covered all the national (and some local) news including who will likely succeed John Boehner, whether it’s wise to continue the Benghazi “investigation,” and why Ben Carson says such strange things. Of course, you can listen for yourself right here:

Kurt and Jeff

The Smiling Conservative will be back on Monday when we will tackle all sorts of timely local topics! Until then!

The next Speaker, errant Benghazi committees, and Ben Carson said what? on Left, Right and You!

With super sub Kurt Kozjarek back in the studio and the national Republicans doing their damndest to be entertaining as possible, we’re gonna go national again today folks!  And that humorous effort will include:

  • Who will be the next Speaker of the House?
  • The Benghazi Committee has nothing to do with Benghazi
  • And Ben Carson really does say the strangest things

Clown CarThat’s Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. Be there or be square!

This is the Thursday October 8, 2015 edition of Left, Right and You!

The Smiling Conservative and I covered it all today and you can listen to it right here:

We set the record straight on the EPD reinstatement of Jason Lentz. We put the Tower Building lawsuit and development to rest once and for all and we explained why the fight at the Kane County Jail should not be used as a ploy for a bigger Sheriff budget.

StuckRest assured, when Larry and tackle a topic, not only do we thoroughly research it, but we talk to the people involved. The only folks who truly believe in conspiracy theories are those who’ve never managed to accomplish anything in their entire life.

Monday! Supersub Kurt Kozjarek returns and I’m sure we’ll have a lot to talk about. Until then…

Officer Lentz reinstated, the Tower Building lawsuit dismissed (again), and a Jail fight on Left, Right and You!

Since Left, Right and You is the only media outlet where you regularly get the truth, today, the Smiling Conservative and I will be happy to provide you with the real story on:

  • The Elgin Police Department’s reinstatement of Officer Jason Lentz. Hint! He wasn’t nearly as exonerated as so many people seem to think.
  • The Tower Building lawsuit thrown out a second time. And this time, the Muscarellos can’t refile it.
  • A large fight at the Kane County Jail. Is it indicative of a problem or nothing more than a publicity ploy?

LentzFor all those answers and more, tune into Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. Because we know you can handle the truth!
