This is the August 31, 2015 edition of Left, Right and You!

If you want insights into the local political process, just listen…

…because Kurt and I covered it all:

  • Snakes in Geneva (besides me)
  • The Gasthaus and their soon to be vanishing liquor license
  • What ever happened to second chances?
  • Joe McMahon will run for KC State’s Attorney at least one more time
  • And just to keep things interesting, a local protest on the Iran nuclear deal

Stuck

Thursday! Author and journalist Lauren Lipton will join the Smiling Conservative and me to talk about how she delivered the kind of blow to the Huffington Post that resounded throughout journalistic hallways everywhere. Until then…

This is the August 27, 2015 edition of Left, Right and You!

Of course the Smiling Conservative and I want to thank 22nd State Senate District candidate Christina Castro for coming in and talking with us. Though it’s not setting the bar too high, she’ll certainly be a vast improvement over Mike Noland.

Larry Cristina JeffWe also utterly debunked the insipid peripheral players’ notion of anything untoward occurring as a result of a Kane County Prosecutor’s DUI arrest and we fervently hope that Legislative Aid Rich Jacobs and Judge John Dalton are smart enough to get the bleepin’ RV out of their Elgin driveway.

Hope does spring eternal!

On Monday, Kurt Kojzarek and I will cover a number of things including, but not limited to, Elgin’s Gasthaus Zur Linde potentially losing their liquor license. I may even read my Chicago Cubs haiku! Until then…

Cristina Castro, a local conspiracy theory, and two Elgin public officials who just don’t get it!

All on today’s Left, Right and You!

Current Kane County Board member and Elgin 22nd District State Senate candidate will drop by to discuss her run with the Smiling Conservative and myself. And we can’t wait! (She’d certainly be an improvement over Mike Noland.)

castroThen we’ll debunk all of the conspiracy theories surrounding a Kane County Prosecutor’s recent DUI arrest. Some folks really do need to get a hobby.

And speaking of the silly Senator Noland, his legislative aide, Rich Jacobs, and husband Judge John Dalton, we’re just ticketed for having an RV in their Elgin driveway. Apparently working for a state senator and wearing the black robe means never having to say you’re sorry.

That’s Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. Don’t miss this one folks!

This is the August 24, 2015 edition of Left, Right and You!

And Kurt and I covered it all! So if you want to avail yourself of kind of political insights that only come from Left, Right and You, you’re in luck:

From Elgin races to the Presidential festivities, we dotted the “i’s” and crossed the  “t’s.” Kurt and I also want to thank Elinor and Joan for calling in with some cogent points.

The smiling Conservative will be back Thursday as we have a conversation with current Kane County Board Member and 22nd District State Senate candidate Cristina Castro. Until then…

8th

This is the August 20, 2015 edition of Left, Right and You!

And, as you can see by the photo of my newest t-shirt, it was heavy metal day on Left, Right and You!

Iron MaidenBut all of our headbanging didn’t stop us from covering every single topic we set out to cover! From U-46 to rescuing sparrows to Batavia electric lawsuits to Cristina Castro, we set the record straight! And speaking of Cristina Castro, the 22nd District State Senate candidate will be joining us next Thursday.

Meanwhile Kurt Kojzarek will fill in on Monday. Until then…

We’ve got it covered on Left, Right and You!

It may be a little bit cool outside, but the Smiling Conservative and I will cover a lot of hot topics today, including but not nearly limited to:

  • A group of wildlife folks who deserve a shout out
  • How many local politicians are more than a little nervous over the Ashley Madison data leak?
  • A few U-46 School District clarifications
  • Joe Marconi’s Batavia electricity rate lawsuit may have been dismissed, but the fat lady has yet to sing!
  • 22nd District State Senator Mike Noland is running for Congress. No! It’s not the opening line of a joke, but it should be!
  • Kane County Board member Cristina Castro is running for 22nd District State Senate and she’s a really good candidate!

StuckThat’s Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. Don’t miss it!

This is the August 17, 2015 edition of Left, Right and You!

I want to thank Kurt Kojzarek for filling in once again today and we both want to thank U-46 School Board member Cody Holt for coming on the show and having a fascinating conversation. As the Smiling Conservative and I like to say, every guest gets treated with respect on Left Right and You.

Kurt Cody JeffBut why listed to me when you can listen for yourself!

Thursday! Larry will be back on the saddle when we’ll be talking about how the local political races are shaping up! Until then…
