If you want insights into the local political process, just listen…
…because Kurt and I covered it all:
Snakes in Geneva (besides me)
The Gasthaus and their soon to be vanishing liquor license
What ever happened to second chances?
Joe McMahon will run for KC State’s Attorney at least one more time
And just to keep things interesting, a local protest on the Iran nuclear deal
Thursday! Author and journalist Lauren Lipton will join the Smiling Conservative and me to talk about how she delivered the kind of blow to the Huffington Post that resounded throughout journalistic hallways everywhere. Until then…
Of course the Smiling Conservative and I want to thank 22nd State Senate District candidate Christina Castro for coming in and talking with us. Though it’s not setting the bar too high, she’ll certainly be a vast improvement over Mike Noland.
We also utterly debunked the insipid peripheral players’ notion of anything untoward occurring as a result of a Kane County Prosecutor’s DUI arrest and we fervently hope that Legislative Aid Rich Jacobs and Judge John Dalton are smart enough to get the bleepin’ RV out of their Elgin driveway.
Hope does spring eternal!
On Monday, Kurt Kojzarek and I will cover a number of things including, but not limited to, Elgin’s Gasthaus Zur Linde potentially losing their liquor license. I may even read my Chicago Cubs haiku! Until then…
Current Kane County Board member and Elgin 22nd District State Senate candidate will drop by to discuss her run with the Smiling Conservative and myself. And we can’t wait! (She’d certainly be an improvement over Mike Noland.)
Then we’ll debunk all of the conspiracy theories surrounding a Kane County Prosecutor’s recent DUI arrest. Some folks really do need to get a hobby.
And speaking of the silly Senator Noland, his legislative aide, Rich Jacobs, and husband Judge John Dalton, we’re just ticketed for having an RV in their Elgin driveway. Apparently working for a state senator and wearing the black robe means never having to say you’re sorry.
That’s Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. Don’t miss this one folks!
And, as you can see by the photo of my newest t-shirt, it was heavy metal day on Left, Right and You!
But all of our headbanging didn’t stop us from covering every single topic we set out to cover! From U-46 to rescuing sparrows to Batavia electric lawsuits to Cristina Castro, we set the record straight! And speaking of Cristina Castro, the 22nd District State Senate candidate will be joining us next Thursday.
Meanwhile Kurt Kojzarek will fill in on Monday. Until then…
I want to thank Kurt Kojzarek for filling in once again today and we both want to thank U-46 School Board member Cody Holt for coming on the show and having a fascinating conversation. As the Smiling Conservative and I like to say, every guest gets treated with respect on Left Right and You.
But why listed to me when you can listen for yourself!
Thursday! Larry will be back on the saddle when we’ll be talking about how the local political races are shaping up! Until then…
With the lovely Kurt Kojzarek filling for the Smiling Conservative once again, we are looking forward to a lively discussion with U-46 Board Member Cody Holt. It would seem to be a fitting endeavor on the first day of the new school year.
We’ll talk about his role on the Board, the District, his U-46 wish list and much more!
That’s Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. We’ll see you there!
And Larry and I love having Tony Sanders on the show because we covered everything there is to cover about the upcoming U-46 school year. Everything! And it’s gonna be a good year too folks. But why listen to me when you can listed to the show for yourself!
Continuing with our back to school theme, as long as he repents for his Cubs blasphemy, Kurt Kozjarek will join me as we talk with U-46 School Board member Cody Holt on Monday’s show! Until then…
Because today, the Smiling Conservative and I have U-46 CEO Tony Sanders for the whole show, which comes as quite a surprise considering we thought we completely scared him off the last time!
We’re gonna talk about the impending school year which includes topics like:
Tony’s unanimous U-46 School Board support
And potential boundary changes
The challenges U-46 faces in 2015-16
Some of the cool new things U-46 is getting in front of
And why the heck the school year is starting so early!
Larry and I will also briefly cover the “shocking” revelation of an illegally recorded State Rep Anna Moeller statement regarding Speaker Madigan. Ah well! At least politics is entertaining!
That’s Left, Right and You, Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Smiling Conservative, Larry Jones, and me, the Curmudgeonly Liberal, on WRMN AM1410. Be there or be square.
